What is SnowDayPredictor?

SnowDayPredictor is a lighthearted forecasting tool that estimates the odds of a winter storm closing school in your area. It combines real weather data — snowfall, ice accumulation, and storm timing — into a single, easy-to-read probability score, wrapped in a bit of playful commentary.

When you provide a free OpenWeather API key, the tool pulls live 24-hour forecast data for your postal code. Without a key, it falls back to a clearly labeled simulated estimate, so you always know which kind of result you're looking at.

This site is built for fun and convenience during winter weather season. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any school, school district, or government weather agency.
